It's been a while since I did a Hindi cover. Here's one- from the 1965 classic Guide: Piya tose, a scintillating melody...*Bows* to Lataji!
Here's my version for you to appraise :)
Song: piya tose naina laage re
Movie: Guide
Music: S.D.Burman
Lyrics: Shailendra
Singer: Lata Mangeshkar
Sindhuja, was good but I think you are not giving enough time for sadhakam :) It shows in the sangathis that you sing. They could be better and crisper. Also regular practise is the only way to reach the higher notes without strain. Please take care of your amazing gift from God...:) You have a beautiful voice and indepth base in classical music. I wish and pray that you improve in leaps and bounds....and I want to see it happen soon :)
Thanks to everyone. Pradip-ji, personally I think this is much better than many other songs in which I struggled w.r.t many aspects. But its understandable that this dint appeal to you. Will keep working. Thanks a lot!
Hi Sindhuja...you truly have a great voice....I really enjoyed your song...by the way where did you get this karaoke from?? I have been looking around on the net, but couldn't find it anywhere...can you please give me a link so that i can download the karaoke...by the way i am also a singer and I wanna sing this song too...so please help me out with the karaoke... thanks.... and keep singing...keep it up....
Beautiful rendition.I was looking for those micro gamakas during the ending of charanams and they were just right. Thats perfect indication. This song has a full version, which is available only in the film (or youtube) but not available on tapes/cds. It has 4 charanams. I think you should give it a try, because it serves as a good vocal exercise :-)
