Dwijavanthi

Here's Dwijavanthi on impulse: A short aalapanai followed by a song I learnt from a Bombay Jayashree recording years back. (Source of inspiration of the sudden impulse: TNS's mind-blowing RTP that I've lately been listening to like crazy)

Song: engu naan selvaen aiyya
Ragam: Dwijavanthi (Jaijaivanthi in Hindustani)
Thalam: Khanda Chaapu
Composer: Periasamy Thooran

Sindhu,

Beautiful..in the alap, I felt like you are kind of not sure about what to sing next in certain places though I donno whether I am correct or not.I felt certain sangathis could have been better. Keerthanam was superb..Its a pleasure to hear such numbers in your voice.

Hi Sindhuja, Just hopped on to this post from Google when i was searching for Dwijavanti raga. I must say the rendition was simply superb. Very soulful. You've got awesome control over ur voice. Btw there is one another composition "Akhilandeshwari" in this raga which i heard just recently and thats when i got fascinated by this raga.
