Vijayanaagari

I recently performed a concert at Coimbatore in my Guru's presence. It was a blessing that I got such an opportunity but haven't been very pleased with myself about how it turned out. It certainly wasn't one of my best days and I'd been very sick all day. But there's always a next time, isn't it? Here's an excerpt from one of the better pieces. Let me know what you think!

hi Sindhuja, though I do follow your blog, this is my first comment. I somehow seem to feel
that there your tonal texture is a little similar to singer Swarnalatha (which was unique
in itself). I was hoping to listen to EnnuLe in your voice and now that you already have that
on your blog, may I request that you sing "Oli vidu veLLi nilave" (from Amaidhipadai) -
this song does not feature in the movie but is part of the song track, music composed by
Ilayaraja. I don't know if you had a chance to listen to that song but its really
mellifluous with a subtle but mesmerizing background score. Thanks!

Hi Ravi,

Thanks very much. Ennulle has been on my wish list for long and I still haven't covered it - not sure which song you mistook to be that one :) I'll also look for this other song you've mentioned and try to cover it - thanks very much!

Oops... reading this post http://octaves.blogspot.com.au/2010/09/rip-swarnalatha.html, I presumed the song posted was Ennulle (since I can't listen to audio links from workplace).

Then looking forward to 2 songs now!! :)

Thanks for taking time to reply.
